Out of curiosity: What is this "console" of which they speak? I have a dome light and a pair of Map lights but apparently, not the console. What does said "console" contain?

Would it be worth it to have one, since I am in the process of upgrading the headliner already?

Default 5hundo call soon ASAP

5hundo call soon ASAP some of these parts can take as long as 8 months to get so call ASAP and ask them if it’s in stock.

It took me 8 months to get a new special order A/C compressor stand a lot of these parts are not easy to get.

Default I guess

I guess he wanted the console and his truck didn’t have one so he grabbed one off a Junker and made it work.

I realize this is a very old topic, but I just did a headliner replacement in my son's truck (2002 Dakota STX) and can help out since the removal of the visor clips earlier in this thread are vague. I removed the old headliner and it took me about 30 minutes. The hardest part was the removal of the visor clips. I consulted with a friend that works at an auto shop. If you plan to remove these clips the proper procedure is to put a piece of cloth or paper towel around the clip (to keep it from getting scratched); take pliers and place the jaws on each side of the clip and squeeze them gently while pulling down. The inner and outer part of the clip will separate (but stay together). With the clip separated, continue to pull down firmly and the clip will come out of the headliner. All other parts, except of the light as screwed in.

When reassembling, these visor clips are not interchangeable (in my experience) they need to go back on the same side. took about 45 minutes to install the headliner. The shop charged me about $100 to recover it out of the truck. They did overlap the fabric over the sides, unlike Dodge that cut the fabric to the edge of the board causing peeling.

I hope this helps someone. I really enjoy this forum and have learned a lot in the few weeks I've been reading.
