Default which should i use????

Hi, merry x-mas to all. I would like any recommendations on what type of oil I should use in my 00 3.9 kota w/150400k Mi. I have used 10w-40 for the past year and a half during summer and 10w-30 during winter, but i am thinking of trying Synthetic oil what do you guys think??? i have heard that its best to stick with conventional oil for older models but science for the most part proves that synthetic oil is superior over conventional oil. Thanks for any advice guys!

I use what the service book says to use.. Con vs Syn.. I've always used Castrol Conv. oil and never had a damn bit of problems.. so IDK.

I've been using 10w-30 high mileage in my 02 3.9 with a little over 132,000 on the clock. Runs good.

Default From day one new in 1998

From day one new in 1998 10W-30 Mobil 1 keeps your engine clean and sludge free.

10W-30 because I lived in California then Arizona so it never gets very cold.

Default I agree but

I agree most any quality oil will do but I do think the synthetics have an edge over conventional oil in that they don’t leave engine sludge and have a wider temp running range they also don’t brake down as regular oils do.

Many auto company’s recommend synthetics over Dino oil, many high end company’s like Ferrari recommend only synthetics.

What are the advantages of synthetic oil?

Peanut oil is best, unless you're allergic. If you are, then soybean oil will do fine.
