the general consensus seems to point toward Autolites 3923 or 5224. Autolite makes a good plug. Changing the plugs is very straight forward and easy, should take around an hour if you don't hurry.

Alright. I know how to change plugs. And this truck looks lime it will be the easiest truck I've ever done plugs on.

I pulled on out today to check it since my truck has 165000 miles and it was black as night. So I figured it need plugs. Cause its gettin 8.9 mpg on the highway. Talk about ****ty.

The 3923 is for the 3.9/5.2/5.9 engines.

Just use what number autolite recommends for the 4.7 which I believe is the 5224 but I don't remember off the top of my head. The 4.7 is very easy to change plugs on. By far one of the easiest I've ever seen. If you're getting 8 mpg on the highway I think you have bigger problems than just plugs btw...

Yeah, I got a new o2 sensor coming for it in the morning. From my research those are come fuel mileage killers on a 4.7. I plan on doing a full tune up anyways Saturday. New fuel filter, plugs, along with that o2 sensor and a new air filter hopefully that will fix it up.

Well I got my new plugs in, and my oxygen sensor changed. And now my truck is running 10x better. I hope this fixes my 8 mpg.

i ran e3's in my truck cause i got a really good deal on them and was really happy with them and the fuel filter maybe a little hard to do cause its part of the fuel pump and you have to drop the tank and ect to replace it

Isn't there more than one O2 sensor, before and after the Cat, I'd changed all of them.

Gonna be doing the same thing soon myself, so it seems like Autolite is the preffered plug? I have always like Champions. Who makes the OEM plugs?

The OEM plugs are Champions, RC12MCC4.

Depending upon which emissions package you have, Federal or CA you could have 4 oxygen sensors. Two each pre and post cat.
