Question Got a front end bounce

I have 2000 Dodge Dakota 4x4
With a 4.7 auto.

I just did a Front end replacement. New upper and lower control arms. New tie rods.and new hub bearings. Need have front alinged.

But I have concern's front end sits a little low and front end bounces bad.
Could the upper control be that out of adjustment? Or did I do something wrong installing Torsion bar?

Help Thanks

Did you replace shocks? If they are shot sag will happen. Also had one years ago that I replaced front shocks alone had sag. Replaced rears and it leveled out. You might crank the bars a little more before you decide something is wrong. Last time I did suspension work I took it to a flat parking lot and measured all 4 corners then tightened them up some more.

All 4 shocks are 11 months old. Looks like bars are crank all way. May be nothing just need a alignment. But I have done others like this but had this much bonce. Almost like a lowrider.

Thanks

Get it aligned. I always take my stuff to a truck, (like large trucks), alignment shop. Those guys see this stuff daily and can tell you whats going on.

Lightbulb maybe but not sure?

I don’t have a 4X4 so I’m not sure how they work but I had an old VW bug with the torsion bars.

If the bars were not splined correct no matter how much you crank them up they will still sag so what I’m saying those bars may of been installed wrong not splined correctly are the splines keyed?

But as I say I’m no 4x4 Dakota owner only the 2WD so it’s my guess.

Feel like a dumba----
Got it thanks 98Dakaz. Had to re-index the keys had them turn wrong.Got it done and find the inner tie rods were bad. Replace them and got it line up. Went to Sears scare me at first took 3 of them to line it up. Guess controls arms throw it way out. But it is done rides better and tighter.

Thanks

Smile you are welcome

Surprised I remember that bit of info in the 70's I was a big Baja bug fan and owned a nice custom one with all the nice upgrades one upgrade I did was thicker stronger torsion bars and custom adjustable arms and if you didn’t get them splined correctly you had problems and you had a right side bar and a left side bar they must go in the correct side to work correctly PITA but worth it in the end. Wow those were fun times I built custom engines back then for those Baja bugs.

Hey man thank you for the reply. I am on several sites including three for bikes and in a lot of cases the fix isnt posted which leaves everyone out in the dark. Glad its fixed!
