I like em, the back doesn't bounce anymore, I was concerned about ride height but they matched spot on..I didnt get the stock replacements, i got the ones for a 2-3inch lift(part numbers in above post) cause my torsion bars are cranked ..I'll keep ya posted on fronts haven't gotten them yet

well here's an update..shocks for 3" lift (ranchos) didnt work right on front (great on back), seemed like they weren't extended at all, pulled and put monroe reflex on front for stock application, and to be honest reflex's are much stiffer and seem a whole lot better, truck still sits level as well, and shock has some extension..now i got to figure out how much tire i can stuff in wheel well any suggestions running 245/70/16's now, dont wanna go too big or blow out my mileage

Never see lifter Dakota or Durango
Hi, purchased a 98 Dakota SLT with 5.2. It has a 3" lift and 33" Mud tires. Truck is awesome....but shocks are totally rusted out. They work, but the outsides are half gone from rot!
Not sure what size shock I need. Any idea what I should be looking for since the ones on the truck are undescribable...lol....If you can read through rust, i'll take a pic
Thanks in advance.

Dakotas/Durangos didn't get that much aftermarket support, even when new.... And being independent front suspension, lift kits just were not cheap.... axle upgrades were extremely limited, as well as gear selection... so, running big tires on a lifted truck, tended to munch up front suspension parts right quick. I've seen a couple around here with body lifts, but, I was never really a fan of those.
