Talking Kota got a little make over

Well this weekend I decided to finally plasti dip my wheels... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

That rear wheel is off the ground, lol. Not too bad for a 2wd.

Overall, I think they turned out pretty good. I'm trying to decide on if I should do the flares or not though. I think I'll just leave them alone, I like the way it looks with the Red/Graphite/Black color combo.

Thanks man, it needs a few small touch ups but it's good for now.

You should do it, it will look sweet. And yeah, that's bedliner. I forget what brand, but it was just some rattle can stuff. Sanded down and then just sprayed on. Well and taped the line obviously. I also had a few russt holes, so I fiberglassed and bondo'ed over them first and then did the bedliner to keep the rust down.

Looks great!

I'm thinking about doing mine too! But plasti-dip here is $19.99 per can, how many cans did you use?

$20 for a can of plasti dip?!?!?! I paid like $5.98, got 3 cans and used probably a total of 2 (I alternated cans) on all 4 wheels. 2 coats per wheel, and I screwed one up so I had to redo 1 wheel.

yeah i have some down at the bottom of the welds on the cab, better to spray it and create a little two tone rather then attempt to match the colors plus it'll create a cool contrast.

Yeah, I like the way it looks... Haven't seen another Dak around like mine. In fact, almost all of the Daks I see around here look completely stock. Nobody really seems to be into modding them around here.

And yes, matching colors (especially my color) is a nightmare. Now that I have my wheels black, it matches the bed liner pretty nicely I think.
