Question blown out brake caliper

ok yesterday i was going down the highway when i noticed my brakes get soft and when i finally got off i noticed i had brake fluid coming down my tire so i looked and it was the caliper. So now i need to change the driver side caliper and my question to all u guys is do u think i should just change the driver and the passenger side one. or just the driver side which blew out? Also i was thinking about do the rotors since the driver side one is kind of messed up what do u guys think?

I'd do it all.

You know you need a new caliper and a new set of pads minimum. It's not much harder to do both sides.

New pads, rotor, and calipers. It's not that expensive.

How are the flexible brake lines while you're in there?

the lines seemed to be fine. yea i was thinking about doing the pads at the some time cause on of the pads on the driver side seems to have been wearing wrong. so yea i think i will just do it all and i also check my drum shoes and they are pretty much at steel so i need to change them to now lol

so there goes 250 bucks on brake stuff lol

I asked about the lines because they fail inside out. Sometimes as they begin to break down, the rubber inside acts as a "check valve" and the calipers stick. You said it was wearing funny, that could cause the pad to get hot and transfer that heat to the caliper.

It may seem crazy but changing the flex lines is cheap insurance. You're going to have to bleed everything anyways, right?

Should be two, one on both sides.

18 foot pounds torque (2000 specs).
