It drives like a whole different truck. It doesn't just "Wander" with the wheel between 11:00 and 1:00...the truck actually moves. And it doesn't move spongily, but solidly. I'll go find a small quick place to play around before I get it aligned in the morning and see how it behaves with the stiffer springs.

Yeah I'd say you had some problems by the way those tires wore! That sucks. Ruined a good set of tires. Are you getting the Firestone's again? Those are the tires my father has on his F-150 and he likes them.

yep, absolutely killed them.

and yes, putting them right back on. Best wearing tires I've put on this truck so far. I wanted to go 265/75-16 but Firestone can't find then, tirerack only has 2...seems to be a rare tire. The next step up is a 285-75-16, and I don't know that it would fit without using wheel-spacers and some trimming. I'm getting the same-that-I-have-now 265-70-16's for 148 each, tirerack shows them for 155. The 285 is .400" wider on each shoulder and 2.23" taller, almost a 33" tire.

I'm hoping I won't have any mor tire-fender contact. You can see where the tires are tried to rip out the fender. I need to beat that back in while I have them do the tires.

Yeah, my father put his on last summer and has about 45k miles on them now and has approx. 50% usable tread left.

I picked the D-AT's based on reviews on tirerack. Basically, I says display all comments in descending order of mileage. All the reviews at the top were centered around the D-AT's. Most got 70-90K to a set...a couple got 110K but probably ALOT of highway miles.
