Default Lower Control Arm Bushings

I know I posted this before with mixed answers

My front LCA bushings are completely gone. Firestone measured 12 degrees of camber and the caster was way off as well. The inside edge of the tires still have nubs, but the outer edges are about to show cords (there's no tread left, looks like a racing slick).

Firestone said $740 for both sides + alignment, the best suspension place in the area got taken out in the march tornadoes, and the last service guy I know that's worth a damn said Mitchell has it listed as being 5.4 hours for both sides.

I know somebody said it can be done in the driveway with a spring compressor, floor jack, and a rental tool from OR or AZ. If somebody can get me some details on that, I'd like to pass it to the service guy and see if he can beat FS's price.

edit: Service guy wants the part numbers for the bushings, Moog or otherwise. Says he thinks he can have me out the door for $500 or so if it's as easy as it seems to be.

Cost me $750 to have both uppers and lowers done. I provided the bushings though. I bought Energy Suspension poly bushings. The poly bushings were like $10 more and will out last my truck so it was worth it. I think it was around $60 for all 4 bushings but I can't remember exactly. They've been on there for 2 years now and seem to be holding up fine.

on the 4x or RWD?

Also, I'm going to get some V8 coil springs from the junkyard to have put in to replace my V6 springs, get a little extra room for the tires. Also gonna shackle the back's.

Parental units are going on vacay in a couple weeks so going to put the harland rockers on that week.

4.10 gears
Harland Sharp 1.7 rockers
modded throttle body
P265/70-16 tires (going from a P class 70 aspect tire [30.6"] to an LT class 75 [31.6"], 265 is the widest I can go without wheel spacers)

It was on my current Dak, the 4x4. Those are the right bushings since you're 2wd.

On a side note: How's your father's Ram holding up with almost 300k on it?

Looking at your pic I would say you have more than just bushing damage

That's the passenger side. I'm not sure if just the ear is bent, or if the bolt is too.

I def know what caused it either way.

Ouch what happened a spinout or a senior driver tried to move into your lane. Happened to me one time but I was lucky and had room to escape.

That was a good year and a half ago. It had rained that morning and my front brakes, for whatever reason are touchy when wet. Long story short, i went to stop and front wheels locked up and truck pulled right.

On a related note, i think my right front shock is blown, because that tire specifically locks up entirely too easily regardless of conditions. Think it's letting that corner squat/unload too much.

your good with tools/cars why dont you DIY them?

No time? the bushings are very cheap

By your crash it looks like you got luck and found a nice drainage hole to take a dump into.

Reminds me of getting stuck in a loading dock trench one time but gunned it and escaped that one also the guys at the store were amazed I escaped the trench like I did usualy you need a tow truck to get out of the trench they said left a big cloud of burnning tires
