OK not getting the point even if you hot wire it have you seen the compressor turn at all with the engine running that is if you try and hear a squealing noise as you try then the compressor is frozen up

You have to find where it has power and what doesn't. Start with the wiring diagrams and work your way back from the compressor. To the AC switch or fuses ect. The wiring diagrams are in the factory service manual in the stickies in this section. Or the FAQ in this section in the FAQ.

If he hears it click in the clutch then its working the wiring that is now the clutch may be weak and not have the power to hold it.

I suspect his compressor is Toast

Anytime your Freon is lost and you try to hot wire it you could roach the compressor ASAP if you run it that way for to long

Default you should

You should look at it this way you never want to run out of engine oil do you? Well the same with an A/C compressor no Freon no oil to keep it running. You can test it a few times without damage but never for too long.

When I did a test on the compressor clutch, I had the motor running, unplugged the clutch power connector & hotwired it to the battery for maybe 15 seconds. There was no squeiling or abnormal noises. The clutch engaged & the compressor turned like normal.

Then I hook the clutch connecters back up & jump both sensors. Turn the **** in the cab & all I get is a click from the compressor clutch relay.

The wiring for the clutch goes --

Fuse - a/c clutch relay - compressor clutch - ground.

Double check the fuse. There are two for the system. One trips the relay (10 amp) and the other works the clutch (20 amp).

Try a different a/c clutch relay, or jump pins 30 and 87 on the relay to bypass. They can fail too.

I saw on another thread someone having a similar issue and he was asked if his horn worked, but the asker didn't say why. The horn on my truck does not work.

The horn and a/c clutch share a fuse.

In the junction block under the dash, #4, 20 amp.
