Lets just say, between this and the RR's, I can feel the difference. Reacts faster, makes RPM faster, Doesn't feel near as restricted. Can't wait to hit up the track again.

Got Sean's new tunes put on the PCM, waited to make sure fan kicked on when it should, and all is good and happy. I heatshrinked the connections earlier, just need to do trash disposal and put tools away.

Right now we have been hitting 100+ here in Texas so if it keeps it nice and cool it's worth it.. Up till now my Jeep Recall fan has been doing a great job.. but in this Texas Heat it can't keep up sitting in traffic.. for too long. I'm thinking just making custom shroud for it.. see if that helps but I might just need a better fan than this.. like the one you put on.

My commute is from Arlington (UTA) to Mansfield (near Business 287 and State hwy 1187), and encompasses 22 stop lights and 3 stop signs in a 13 mile commute.

The gauge never got above where I posted a picture of it, right at about 180-190 degrees. Since I drive with the AC on 24/7, the fan is on even before the thermostat opens. I'll experiment tomorrow, and turn the AC off, and see if the fan shuts off (set for around 190). But yes, even sitting still at red light after red light, with my overhead indicating 112, the engine was pretty much cold.

Your also running a V6.. should be easy to keep cool.. my 318 is a challenge. But I mean what can I expect from using Aux fan's designed to have a mech fan behind it.. LOL. It's my hopes that a new shroud will take care of it.. but I have a feeling that might not even be enough for these extreme hot periods we are having.

yes, the V6 probably helps. But just for chits n grins, after eating my lunch in the parking lot, I shut the AC off.

The mk8 fan turned off......then came back on ~30 secs later when the temp hit 190....

So overhead said 76 degrees out, 2:00 AM in texas. No need for A/C (short trip).

Fan turned off for 2 minutes, on for 3 or so. Off for 2, on for 3 or so.

Yeah. I'm not sure if i can fit that fan; that's why i went with the Gran Cherokee fan.. supposedly this fan is supposed to do the job well.. but they said that about the HHR fan too and that was a waste of money.. lol.

Fit right in for me. I can feel the breeze standing in front of the truck. It's exact width and 1" too short, which is just enough clearance for the fluid bottles. I had to use an angle grinder to shave the driver side top corner so the old bracket wouldn't cut into the overflow bottle. The wiper fluid bottle fit fine on it's side.
