Sean (Hemifever) has it set to turn on at 190. I just emailed him asking what the turnoff temp was, I figure 180. Like I said, last night, it was cycling on and off, so it was right in that 180-190 window or so. Since I drive with the AC on all the time, I figure it's about 175-185 driving around.

The driver side top ear has to be cut off then corner shaved to clear the overflow tank. The driver side bottom ear will take a 7/16" bolt to a ¯\_ bent piece of 1/8" flat stock, which goes to the stock efan mounting hole, with a lockwasher and a flatwasher spacing the reduced thickness of material. Passenger side top mount uses a piece of 1/8" flat stock to the stock efan's mounting hole, again spaced with lockwasher and flatwasher. Pass side bottom ear is cut off to clear condensor line.

I have mine centered on the radiator, and laying on the bottom core support, just above some hard lines. I took some 1/4" rubber hose and slit it lengthwise and into four 3" pieces. I put one piece in each corner of the fan, to sit against the radiator. Yes it makes an air gap between the shroud and radiator, but I'd rather that than have the shroud eat through the fins from rubbing.

you can see how I shaved the corner to clear the tank.

I'll take some pictures of the mounts and post them. Also need to see if it's rubbing the tank, if I need to somehow add some padding there.

Sean says he left the default drop rate, 4.5 degrees. So fan turns on at 190, off at 185.5.

93 mk8 and I'll have to measure it. They have 2 bolts holding them in, then lift up and back.
