Eureka!! My son's pickup btw.. After asking several times "Have you done anything or remember any incident that would correspond with the blower going out?" and I got "No I don't think so.."
Well as I was loosening that large connector on the firewall held in with a hex bolt I noticed one of the 4 retaining clips was free and the bolt was hand loose. He did mention that he had messed with that.
Checked the voltage going to the proper colored wire and had 12.4 volts. Checked the continuity between the other side of the connector and the switch wire on the column and my tester went "BEEEEP". Put it all back together and tightened up the bolt on the connector tightly and the blower works fine!
Thank you 00DakDan and 98Dakaz for getting me through this! Only cost my son $38 for a switch which wasn't needed. (I left it in since I was there anyway) and me about 15 hours of frustration!
