How much time did it take to get the engine looking so clean? AND money? You had to have sunk a good deal of time and money into that to get it looking so nice.

No not really just steam clean two times a year if you keep it up it stays clean and nice. Not too much on the other stuff also needed a new valve cover gasket so I painted the thing it was off anyway. I would say $8 a wash those self-cleaning booths for your auto.

This one is newer

One thing I would do is change out those tension wheels there are two of them one you can adjust the belt with the other is next to the A/C compressor.

They can be dry and you may not even know it

They go dry and start bogging down your engin and the 2.5L needs all the help it can get they are around $10 to $25 each

OK, Base.

Lets check the door switches. Disconnect the battery.

Pin 1 on the CTM, 18 pins. You want:

Pin 1 Black with light blue tracer for the drivers door.
Pin 2 Tan with red tracer for the passenger door.

With the door open, you should show continuity to ground. Closed, no continuity.

After that, and the powers back on:
For the dimmer, pull fuse #5, in the junction block under the dash then see what happens to the dome lights/dimmer. It's 5 amps.

Can I do this with a simple circuit tester? I don't have the CTM accessible right now but can pull out the glove box and it's three nuts or screws to remove. I'll try the fuse first.

That would be the fuses on the driver side end of the dash? I'll check that right now.

Any simple ohmmeter will work fine to test the switches.

On the fuse, we're isolating the feed for the lights from the headlamp switch.

With the #5 fuse pulled, the dimmer does not work. The dome light does come on.

The dome lights are working correctly now? Door switches and headlamp switches?
