Default actual resistance on an ignition coil

Tried for two days to find out what the actual ohms for the ignition coil should be across the primary and secondary windings. this is for a 1998 3.9 liter 2 wd regular cab

This may/may not help. It's from the 2000 FSM.

See attached.

What do you mean "one way it's good other it's bad ???"

Looking at the wiring diagrams, Dark Green with orange tracer is pin #1 and the black with gray tracer wire is Pin #2.

Measuring across pins 1 and 2 is the primary coil.
Measuring from pin 1 to the high tension lead is the secondary.

If you're measuring from pin 2 to the high tension lead you'll have an incorrect reading.

yes I have checked it. the diamond coil at that reading would be ok but the denso coil would be out o spec. How do we tell them apart the coil looks exactly like the one on my 92

most of the time if its bad, it will show 0 Ohms. meaning it is an open circuit and no current will flow.

the list i did for coil resistance, was not very well done. if you want ill list it again to be easier to read. just ask and ill do it over.

ask your parts man to show you each one. one at a time. and check the Ohms there, if he doesnt mind. just an other crazy idea from an old crazy man. the Ohms under 1.0 Ohms might be hard to see on some meters. a really good meter might be needed. i have a few real low end meters from HF. they are ok for some things, but not others. double check by useing some resistors from RS, the card is marked, but dont mix them up, after you take them out of the card, ie only remove one at a time.
