Default Lower back pain from stock '99 Dakota Sport seats

Has anyone else experienced this?

It seems when I scoot all the way to the back of the seat, I end up having a lot of pressure on my lower back which is leading to some sciatica symptoms (tingling pain in lower back and legs).

Are there special cushions designed for Dakota seats?

I'm 24 btw, so it's not just old age haha.

Thanks,
Brady

go to to a salvage yard and see if a different model dakota has a better seat. or a ram truck. all so a seat out of some dodge car might fit. good luck.

My stock seats sucked, so I replaced them with some Corbeaus. Problem solved (though not very inexpensively).

And I am just old.

I have a terribly painful lower back what I use is a Memory Foam Pillow. Just dye the cover black or brown or it will get ugly fast

Exclamation

At your age having this problem means you need to see a chiropractor something is wrong at that age you can usually sit on a rock for hours and not have any problems.

Youth how wonderfully strong and pliable you are at that age don’t abuse it get it checked out ignoring it can cause you more pain if untreated.

Your back needs looked at

A question do you put your wallet in your back pocket and sit on it as you drive?

If you do STOP THAT NOW that is part of your problem or the problem.

Talking

If I remember correctly they are kind of narrow so if you are a little big in the behind part of you is just hanging off the side of the seat and the other side of you is crammed next to the center arm rest kind of pinched in.

I have bench seats with lots of behind room I like my bench seats not fancy but comfortable for me. I did have a custom shop modify my bench seats somewhat with custom fabric not vinyl and had them ad more foam in certain places. First thing I did on my Dakota I guess it worked.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

I used to drive all the time with a bulky wallet in my back pocket but I've stopped doing that for about a month now - it does make a difference.

Besides installing an aftermarket seat, the best thing I've found after a good amount of research is this product:
Amazon Amazon

Has anyone tried this? I'll feel like an old lad with this thing LOL!!

This one is more expensive but seems like it would solve the problem as well:
Amazon Amazon

Thanks in advance,
Brady
