If you mean the "blend" door, it's cable operated, not vacuum.

Not sure if you want the 180 or 195 t-stat... depends what was working well for you before.

Hey thanks a lot I think I am going to go with a 195 and put a grill cover on the truck as well.

I have the exact same issue with mine. If you need help flushing the core, I'm going to go by this video when I do mine:

I just did a complete Flush, and the Heater Core specifically.
The Coolant System on my '00 3.9 liter engine is poorly designed in my opinion.

Whatever you do, DON'T use CLR in your system. It is not compatible with Aluminum. You'll wind-up replacing your ruined Heater Core and Radiator.
