Infinity Stereo Help
Years ago, I blew my door speakers. (they dry rotted) I replaced the about a year ago, and quit driving my truck. They didn't sound good then, and today I got in it and listened to some music and remembered they didn't sound good.
I replaced all 4 speakers with 6032si Infinity
They sound absolutely awful, and I'm wondering if I should install a component speaker up front, and leave those in the back. Help!

If I remember correctly, the Infinity is a 2 ohm system. Those speakers are 4 ohm. I'm not an audiophile so I don't know if that would make a difference.
But, if it sounded good originally and that is the only thing you changed, maybe it's the speakers.
Do you have the polarity correct on all the speakers?

I got a really good deal on the speakers, so replacing them won't hurt...too bad.
Just posted about this in another thread, if you still have the originals, redo them with kit below. Decent low impedance speakers that fit right are a tough find, and unless replacements are properly matched to amp, it won't sound as good as the stockers (as you've already found out).
I just redid all 4 of my factory infinity door speakers with 2x the following kit (http://www.simplyspeakers.com/infini...t-fsk-6.5.html). Had never done it before, but it's pretty easy. Original speakers sound great again and it was much cheaper than replacements.

Whoops. Just saw you were in that thread too. Didn't mean to rub salt in that wound
