When you changed the filter, did you look to see if an old gasket was stuck on the mount? Two gaskets will cause a leak.

i'm pretty sure i did , but i don't have a lot of tools and a pan here to take off the filter to check

got home, took the filter off, no extra gasket. the leak is just above the filter mounting surface and not the sender. is there a gasket in there?

change the filter. Years ago I had a leak from the filter thought it was a head leak turned out the filter gasket was bad and would leak like hell when it was cold outside.

i just changed it. i took the filter off and there is oil above it on the housing

called dodge and they said there is no gasket there, my timing cover gasket is leaking. is this right?

took it to a local shop today to check for a timing cover seal for sure, they found the oil sensor leaking so it should be fixed now. will check tomorrow for sure.
