desperate for help starting problem
I took 2000 dodge dakota in for MVI and needed gas tank straps.Had garage install new straps yesterday but ever since they completed the work on the truck it will not start.Turns over fine but will not run unless I keep foot on gas. What might they have done when they dropped gas tank?? I have to go back and was hoping for advice 1st.

So I took truck into garage were they installed gas tank straps. After leaving it there for the day they say they inspecetd top of tank(without dropping it and all look fines. They say the truck needs a new power control modulea pcm.I have no idea what it is.All I can say is when I first start it in morning turns over great but will not keep running unless I keep foot a little on throttle,When driving it when I take foot off gas at red light it dies sometimes as well.Any ideas?????

The truck was running perfect and I mean perfect.I had motor vechile inspection and the gas tank straps and rear shocks failed so I had new ones installed.I picked truck up and went home.Got up next morning to go to work(battery is bran new) and turned key the truck started then instanly died, tried again, turned over nothing. So I kept my foot on gas peddle and it started right up.Headed out drive way and as soon as I took foot off gas to stop died. Now when I come to stop sign or red light it dies. Not every time but most of time. Some say its the ditributor cap/others fuel filters. and on and on.So I am at a loss to know next step with out spending a fortune.
