Question Crankshaft sensor swap! NEED HELP

code is reading P 0340 which from research means no reading from the crankshaft sensor. Is this something i could do myself? Im somewhat of an amateur mechanic but never changed a crank sensor. Also, where is this sensor located? Thanks for The help!

Very easy job to do. Its 2 11 or 12mm bolts and a connector.

The sensor is located on the back of the engine where your transmission bolts up. You can see it through the passenger side wheel well. Id advise pulling the inner fender out for more room.

The sensor goes into a hole located on your transmission and bolts to the engine.

Hang on gents,

It's the 4.7 he has, not a 3.9, 5.2, or 5.9.

It's on the right rear of the engine. It goes into the ENGINE, not the transmission. There is only ONE bolt.

The tone ring is internal on a 4.7.

And don't break the sensor off!
