I did download the service manual from this forum (Big Thanks!) and am wading through it.

It's certainly worth checking the brake light switch, as well as other functions of the CTM.
I've had problems with the CTM. I "think" it's why the PO sold the truck. Intermittently, most everything would just go out. I did a lot of brakeclean scrubbing on it's connections, as well as opening it up and cleaning a lot of crud off the circuit board, and it had been solid as a rock for 3 months before the collision.

So far, I see nothing in the manual that says you must replace the airbag module after a deployment?
And I do see the airbag covers listed as separate part numbers...

 

I don't see anything in the manual regarding replacing the airbag module either. From what I read it does a self-test every power up.
