Automatic Shut Down relay. It kills the fuel pump/ignition if the PCM determines the engine isn't running.

We'll they have so that it at least turns over but doesn't fire. Something is telling it still not to give it fuel and or spark. They said they found a blown relay and something else blew it out. That's the next step to find what blew it out. They were trying when started. They will wait till Monday morning after sitting all weekend. Any ideas to tell them???

Once more I'll ask, what color is your ignition key?

If it is GREY then you have SKIM. SKIM can prevent the truck from running EXACTLY as you are describing.

Black key. They are leaning towards some relay associated with cranking. Something is still telling it not to fire or fuel. Thank you!!!!!

A good scan tool should tell them if the ASD relay is working and all the sensors even during cranking.

They actually replaced the ASD relay with no change. Next thing they are going to do is take the fuse block apart and check for corrosion. It starts after it gets warm outside or if it sits in the garage long enough. When this happens, they can't continue with the diagnosis. i was readt to tell them just replace everything in the system. Could MAP sensor do this?

Are they using a scanner to read the live data? Even before cranking it should give them information. Without the proper tools they're just throwing parts at it. The PCM does it all. It's a computer and with the right tool can display exactly what it sees.

You won't believe what it was. The connector behind the fuse block inside the truck was loose. It controls the ignition start relays and the compressor fan. He found it by accident by dropping the keys when testing. He picked them up, put them in and turned the key. He thought that he should grab the harness under the dash and wiggle. It started when he did this. 2weeks and that was the problem. Thank you 00dakdan and everyone for the input. He plugged it back in not before also finding a bad pin in the connector. THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks for the update. That was a good find on their part.
