It depends on what date the truck was built. The corresponding wire colors Dan provided are for late production 2000 and up. The harness in the dash my not have the earlier 2000 color scheme that I provided if the truck was built in or after September 20000. Sorry for any confusion.

Nope. Those colors are for a 2000 Dakota. What the OP has. They changed a bit in '01.
2001 amp:
RF +VT goes to speaker LB/VT
