Wanting to bypass the factory amp in my 2000 quadcab so i can run a better one. Anyone donevthis or have schematics to hardwire it?

At the amp you should have these wire colors:

Left Front + Green or Green/White
Left Front - Brown/Red

Right Front + Violet
Right Front - Blue/Red

Left Rear + Brown/Yellow
Left Rear - Brown/Light Blue

Right Rear + Blue/Orange
Right Rear - Blue/White

Factory amp remote on/trigger wire is dark green/orange.

If using an aftermarket radio, just use the RCA's for inputs to the new amp. If you are using the factory radio, there should be these same speaker wire colors for the high-level inputs at the Infinity amp. The input wires will be a slightly smaller gauge and may also have the positive and negative wires for each input twisted together in pairs. If in doubt just disconnect the amp plug and connect a test speaker to the suspected input wires, use the fader to isolate each one at a time, when you get a pair that plays music from the deck, that is the input for that channel from the deck.

You can even wire in a speaker level to RCA converter once you know the input wires. To test for speaker wires at the amp just use a 9 volt battery, connect the suspected speaker wires one to the positive and the other to the negative terminal of the battery. When you get two wires that go to a speaker you will hear it make a scratching/popping sound. You can test for correct polarity with the battery too, when you have the positive wire on the positive battery terminal and the negative to the negative the speaker cone will move out, away from the magnet/basket assembly. If you have the polarity reversed the cone will move toward the basket.

Just to get headunit power withouth the amp all i need to do is bypass the speaker wire right?

I seen this too, but would rather just hardwire it instead of waiting for harnesses to come in.

 

It is easy to bypass the amp for a new deck. Just cut the wires for the inputs and outputs at the amp and splice the input wires to the corresponding speaker wires, left front to left front, right front to right front and so on. Then just wire in the new deck in the dash either with a matching harness or you can hardwire it. The speaker wire colors are the same at the deck as they are at the amp.

Ok still a little confused, found speakerwires on one harness but not sure what other wires to hook em to? Theres no matching colors on other harness

 

From Radio To Speaker

RF +VT goes to speaker LB/RD
RF -DB/RD goes to speaker LB/BK

LF + DG goes to speaker LG/RD
LF - BR/RD goes to speaker LB/BK

RR + DB/WH goes to speaker TN/VT
RR - DB/OR goes to speaker TN/DG

LR +BR/YL goes to speaker WT/RD
LR - BR/LB goes to speaker WT/BK
