i have been trying to find a dakota with 3.92 gears. i cant seem to do so. i have found like 10 with 3.55 and like 5 with 3,23 but no 3.92 if anyone can tell me a year sub model motor side that would have them i would like to know because i need a new rear end my housings junk. and i might as well get better gears with out spending crazy money. the truck is just a lot rig and wont ever see the road again. so it wont get any money put in it.

 

My truck has a 3.92 rear end. It's a 2001 Sport, 2 wheel drive with a NV3500 5-speed. I am not sure what other years had 3.92 gears, 00DakDan will probably be able to tell you though.

3.92's were an option but I think they came with the Sport package some years.
