Default Alternator not charging

So Where is this Magic Fuse?
There is also a fuse that goes between the alternator and the rest of the wiring in your truck.

I moved this into a new thread Pacman. Welcome to the forum.

What year and engine do you have?

Most of the larger fuses are in the PDC, Power Distribution Center, under the hood.

Default Fuse headache

'02 Dakota SLT 3.9. Many custom hits. Grounded the alternator senser wires to the hot. Replaced the Alt. and cable from alt to battery, battery is <4 months old. Repaired sensor wires, but still no charge to battery, just sits at 12V output. Tried out 3 other alts and retested mine on bench..... So faily sure not an alt or battery problem. This "fuse" is my last shot before ordering an E-bay ECU, if I can find it.

Show truck is now looking good dead in my driveway.

Do you mean you connected the battery temp sensor to a 12 volt source?

The fusible link would be in the cable from the battery to the PDC.

Do you have any codes?

No, the plug wire right next to the B terminal wore through, grounding, and arching. I will go down today and look for a fuse in the battery to PDC wire.

It could have damaged the voltage regulator which is part of the PCM. Normally it would throw a code. If you've replaced the alternator and the rest of the wiring is OK that's all that's left.
