2002 truck keeps turning over, but will not start: please help
2002 dakota regular cab sxt 3.9L, V6, 5 speed
Hello. Just happened yesterday. It keeps turning over but will not start. I got it started once, but as soon as I took my foot off the gas pedal, it died. Have not been able to get it started since.
Have never had start up issues before. In the last month or so, I have noticed a couple of times where the truck seems to stutter for a second or 2 while I am driving (that feeling where its not catching the next gear). Its probably happened 3 times in the last month. Other than that, no issues.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do you have any codes?
Check for spark, pull a plug wire and make sure you get a nice bright blue spark. Do you smell fuel? How about hear the fuel pump run when you first turn the key? You can rent/borrow a fuel pressure gauge. It should be about 49 psi.
