I get what your saying, but I do think this is a fair solution. I could sit there and bitch and ask for more, but the repair has to get done. He made it clear he will not return the truck, so I could get a lawyer and try to get the truck returned but how long would that take? In the mean time, I am paying for this truck which has to get repaired. I could also go to another mechanic and pay for the labor and try to get him to pay for it with a lawyer/law suite, but how long would that take?

I'm concerned you may end up with a money pit.

I'm guessing either the person that traded it in used some kind of head sealer/fix just to sell it or the place you got it from used a sealer just to get it off there hands.

I say get it fixed as cheap as possible and dump it ASAP

Or you could stop payments and let them take it back a fico score hit but you get rid of it.

Fix your fico in 2 years all is good

Ask a credit expert or two how it could affect you conceder the best win and do it.

If you put a large sum down then this will not work

No that's not an option for me. I have a good relationship with my bank and I pay my bills.

Ask if you can trade it back to them for another auto see if they may deal with you at all they love to wheel and deal.

This could be a win for both of you

Default My 3.9 had a mystery leak too

Mine was the intake manifold, or more precisely, one of the intake manifold bolts had corroded and broken. No one could see a leak because the coolant just evaporated. It supposedly even passed a pressure test.

There's a kit of new gasket and I think stainless steel bolts for my engine that worked just fine.

A good relation with your Bank??

Banks love you till the mille second you do one small thing wrong then they toss you under the bus jack your interest rate up 100% charge you a large fee then spit on you.
