Thumbs down

How they got Freon in is a very good question?????

I'm guessing they shut it down let the high side pressure drop then pumped it in with an adapter of some kind very stupid and wrong.

Default Must have your truck

Looks like I have the same situation as the original poster. I was all set to do this myself but quickly learned that I don’t appear to have a low pressure port on my 1997 Dodge Dakota Sport V6. Good grief.

Low pressure port is the one on the line by the radiator. Under that black cap on the compressor is the high pressure port.

Thanks, from reading the above it seemed that the port you referred to next to the radiator was another high pressure port. I suppose they were mistaken?

Oh come on, are you trying to tell me that someone on the Internet was.... WRONG????? No way.

I have never seen an a/c system with more than one high pressure port.....

Heh. I'm sure that never happens.

I did successfully recharge the truck for cool comfort using that port. Thanks, Hey you.
