Cab swap from '02 V6 2WD to a '99 V8 4WD

No problems Blooper. It keeps me thinking anyways. I was wondering why you wanted to put the dash into damaged truck.
OK, you're putting the '99 dash into an '02.
Transfer the dash, etc. over to the '02. As I said earlier you'll need to change the HVAC plenum over as well too. It has to match the dash. Fortunately there is nothing to do electrically to get the controls to work, they're all vacuum operated.
Electrically, here we go again, strip the '99 and put everything into the '02. All harnesses, PCM, CTM, ABS, Airbag, all the modules.
The dash is what makes the truck, not the engine/transmission. You're going to need everything to be on the '99's CCD bus so you have gauges, lights, etc.

Magnet, this is the way I'll be going. Thank you everyone for your help and expertise. I will start a new thread on backyard hacker collision repair when I start disassembling the cab and start cutting. Thanks again everyone.
