Default Transfer case plug rounded off pls help

On my 04 dodge dakota I tried to get the fill plug out of the transfer case and the allen wrench just rounded out. Now I dont have anything to turn it out with.

any help will be greatly appreciated. I dont have a welder but will Jb Weld work if I put a bolt in the hole and wait a couple days then back it out with the bolt?

any help will be greatly appreciated.
anyone in my area please come over and do it for me I will pay you $50.00 to do it.
Nobody will even try to help here.
thanks in advance
Troy B

Wow...thats a tough one....looks like you cant even get a pair of vise grips in there....Only thing I can offer is to drill a hole through it and use an easy out. Then replace the plug.

That'd be my suggestion too, drill and an easy out.

You really can't find a garage to do that? It should be a quick repair up on a lift.

Default yep no one wants to try that one here

I cannot get a garage to do it because they all say, What If
what if I cant get it out? what if I break it and make a bigger mess for ya.
so Ok what easy out kit do I get to do this?
I have looked at menards, lowes harbor freight but am unsure on what to use?

I had the same problem on another truck (not my Dakota), but the placement of the crossmember made drilling impossible. So, I looked up the fluid capacity and added that much fluid through the VSS hole. Not a permanent fix, and no good if you have to top off a leaker, but it got me through in a pinch.

Get any easy out kit. They come with different sizes and instructions on what size hole to drill for whichever size you want to use. I would suggest to start with the smallest size hole and go from there
