Engine Running COLD..... WHY ?
Wow if your cooling system was that badly clogged up with gunk and it took three cleanings to clean it out I'm wondering if the previous owner used some kind if leak seal in the cooling system.
Watch very carefully that you don't develop any cooling leaks in the next month look under that truck every day to be sure and check your coolant fluid levels every day also.
That could explain things nicely especially the thermostat getting clogged up possibly 2 times you may need to change the thermostat one more time.

Very possible the PO used a Coolant sealer like Bar's Leak.
I'll keep a close eye on it for leaks.
On this truck, there is no hint of anti-freeze smell what so ever or other internal leaks. All others had that distinctive smell.
I'll say this. IF it turns out the heater core is leaking it will not get replaced! I replaced one heater core (1977 Monte Carlo) and vowed back then that would be the LAST heater core I EVER replace! It was such a horribly frustrating and PITA job to do! LOL!
Instead of replacing a heater core, I will go out an buy a 1500 Watt AC-DC Inverter and plug in a 1500 Watt 120 volt electric ceramic heater!
If you flushed out the heater core that many times you should have done the same to the complete system. Just hope they didn't use some head gasket sealer as that stuff can be nasty and you may have a head problem. The PO may have use a sealer more than one time some people think more is better.
I do need to check that. I'm not sure if the A/C-Defrost is working at all. Kinda hard to verify A/C output while it's cold (below 40F) outside.

Very possible on the head/coolant system sealer. The system was very gunky. Not much rust and/or debri, but very brownish.
BTW, that head gasket **** really works! I had a blown head gasket on that 77 Monte Carlo and used that head gasket resealer. I was shocked (and amazed) that it really did work! It held up for over a year before I sold that car.
I have no reason or evidence to suggest a blown head gasket on this truck or a leaking heater core. Other than the crap in the cooling system. The truck runs very well otherwise, in-spite of showing 251,xxx on the odometer. I have no history on previous repairs on it.

Keep an eye on the passenger footwell. It's not a leaking heater core that causes a flood, but it's a leaky box. There is a drain on it, if said drain plugs up, the condensate will flow out the box.
Roger that.
Just curious in the event I need to try air pressure.
I'm still concerned that I might "flush a leak" in my own system, but wondering how much pressure you put on your heater core.
Thanks!

Water hose pressure. Valve halfway open at most. Cooling system spec is 15psi or so, wouldn't suggest exceeding that- could be an issue if significantly clogged. Do not use compressed air.
