Monroe does not make the Reflex for a 2WD Dakota any more, they have been out of production since about 2010 or 2011. They now only have the Sensa Trac or the cheapie yellow Monroes for a 2WD. Back when I had to replace my Reflex shocks they had a lifetime warranty, the local Napa store could only replace them with Sensa Trac's. The Sensa Trac superseded the Reflex part numbers. I had a feeling I would not like the Sensa Trac's but tried them anyway since they were free. It did not work out very well, the Sensa Trac is more of a car style shock. Then I tried cheap yellow Monroes, they were garbage, my truck rode like a giant brick. I returned those and tried a set of Rancho RS5000 and they were way too stiff. That was when I decided to try the low cost Gabriel Pro Guard shocks from Auto Zone. Those were nearly identical to the Sensa Trac's, real mushy and way too much of a bouncy ride. The Auto Zone manager was very cool about it. He took back the Pro Guards and I just paid the difference in price for a set of Gabriel Ultra's. The Ultra is the only shock I have found that is anywhere close to the ride quality, stability, road handling and braking characteristics of the Reflex.

One of the first things I did with my truck was to put on a set of Michelin LTX 235/75R15's. It was a night and day difference in ride quality and handling. Less road noise too.

I'm now looking into 235 width vs 225. There's some price difference as we go wider though.

Also checking out the Yokohama Geolandar H/T G056
P 235 /75 R15 108T XL OWL.

So the 235 wide tire will fit fine on my 2wd, for sure

I found the Gabriel Ultra to be just as good as the Monroe Reflex. It was the Pro Guard that was about the same as the Sensa Trac. I seem to remember a couple of parts store guys telling me the Sensa Trac was really more of a car shock too.

Nice of Monroe and information websites not to say that it's more of a car shock !

On a bright side, I just had the pleasure of ordering my new tires from Discount Tire Direct. They beat the best price on these tires, from even Amazon, at $370.00,...delivered !

I bought mine at Autozone back in about 2010 or 2011. I don't know the part numbers, I am at work now but can get the part numbers off my receipt later when i get home. I remember getting Autozone to also honor a $20.00 off of $100.00 coupon I printed from the Pep Boys web site on the shocks too.

I have had 235 75 R15 tires on my truck since I bought it. No problems at all with 235's.

Great, I'm sure they'll not only drive better than the 215's, but also look better !
They are also white lettered.

I did not even find out what wheel size I have, so are the 235's ok on the stock wheel width ?
What size do you have ?

How can I be so excited about new tries ? lol !!!
