Front springs are ordered via 10% off sale and free shipping for Black Friday at Landrum. Now tallying up the bill for what it will take to rebuild these junkyard spindles so I can get them put on.

Hard to believe it's been 2 years and 7 months since I started this project. Not to mention 220 update posts.

Throttle cable/pedal assembly - done

New Coil Springs - In Hand

Fuel Filler Hose for Fuel Cell - In Hand

New 16" Front Runner Wheels - In Hand and mounted with new 225/65/16 tires

Magnafuel Pump and Filters - Arriving Tuesday

Orme Brother Fittings - Arriving Tuesday

Need to get an internal spring compressor for the coil springs and Rebuild the new front spindles (about $250).

I got new trailer harness connectors, and rebuilt the trailer harness for the truck side. I also made a 7 pin to 2 pin connector for connecting my solar panel charger. This makes it super easy to plug/unplug the charger when I want to drive the truck.

Fuel pump assembly will nearly be frame rail to frame rail in the back. Have the rest of the fuel system shipping out tomorrow.

Picked up the new-to-us rear wing for the dragster from TRL's old stomping grounds.

Can you see the Trans Oil Temp gauge pretty easily from the drivers seat?

Yes, from my preferred driving position, it is a straight shot though the right spoke window of the steering wheel. The shift/gear indicator is right over the factory one, through the top window of the wheel.

My driving position is close and tight, not many people prefer that config. So YMMV.

Went to the track on Saturday...

Photos by Randy Curtis (Curtis Photo Art) and Ronnie Barnes (XRP TV)

I'll have more updates during the next 2 weeks. About to change a LOT of things.

I thought I had a post with part numbers for the front brake swap, but I guess not.

Donor Platform: 2003 Dodge Durango 2WD
Oreilly retail pricing

Front Left Caliper Only: 18-4877, $48.99 + $35 core
Front Left Caliper + Bracket: 18B4877, $54.99 + $42 core
Front Right Caliper Only: 18-4876, $48.99 + $35 core
Front Right Caliper + Bracket: 18B4876, $54.99 + $42 core
Front Left Brake Rotor: 780133RGS, $74.99
Front Right Brake Rotor: 780133RGS, $74.99
Brake Pads, Set: MKD966, $21.99
Left Upper Ball Joint: K7392, $92.99
Left Lower Ball Joint: K7393, $94.99
Right Upper Ball Joint: K7393, $92.99
Right Lower Ball Joint: K7393, $94.99

Price to replace everything: $281.95 for brakes + $185.98 for UBJ + $189.98 for LBJ = $657.91

---------------

It looks like O'Reilly's hates MOOG. Rockauto has the ball joints WAYYYY cheaper.

K7393 $36.99 Lower
K7392 $37.79 Upper

$281.95 + $75.58 + $73.98 = $431.51

------------

NAPA Retail Pricing is pretty much the same:

Front Left Caliper + Bracket: CAL SE5428A, $54.99 + $27.78 core
Front Right Caliper + Bracket: CAL SE5427A, $54.99 + $27.78 core
Front Left Brake Rotor: NB 48880133, $79.99
Front Right Brake Rotor: NB 48880133, $79.99
Brake Pads, Set: TS TS7868M, $21.99

I posted in the dakota group on FB, looks like O'Reilly and MOOG are not getting along. Rockauto has the ball joints for $37 each instead of $98 each. Just a small discrepancy, eh?
