Default Engine light code p1196

Hey guys I just got an engine light code 2 weeks before I had to get emmission test. The code is p1196. Indicating bank 2 sensor 1 is not working properly. I swapped out the sensor for a new one. Driving the truck for weeks code still there. Any ideas as to what else it might be??

P1196 2/1 O2 sensor slow during catalyst monitor

What brand O2 did you put in? If it was a Bosch, replace it. Use NTK or Denso.

I did buy denso. Like I said I have been driving it for 2 months since I replaced it and still engine light. Any other ideas?

It can happen if the mixture is too lean.

Is there any sign of a leak at the exhaust manifold?

How's the fuel pressure?

Watching the fuel trim with a scanner can help pinpoint the cause.
