What is the correct 3 jaw puller to use? And an insert in opening?

It's hard to see with the radiator on.

It's a "special" tool. See attachment.

You can download the entire service manual here:

Yeah 1026 is what the guide called for.

I tried the Puller from Oreilly and I was able to get it on, but the rod was not long enough. So I am ordering this one one from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hopefully it will work.

Cheaper... if you get these and you get three sizes. Grease the threads before using.

Exactly how far down did the bolt break off? If you take the housing off, do you have enough sticking out for a set of channel locks to grip? If so, spray it real good with PB blaster and let it soak in for a day or so.

It broke about a 1/4 inch inside the hole. Nothing is exposed. I cannot drill it out, I have tried.

A quarter inch might be enough for a shortened bolt (you cut it) to catch the threads. I know from experience that you don't need to torque that thing down much for a good seal. Back when I was experimenting with thermostats, I would barely tighten down the housing with a nut driver and it wouldn't leak. Yeah, not ideal but it might save you a lotta work.

I thought about just putting the housing back on and use a clamp to hold it down on that side it is broken. LOL

I did that for a while. Used a small c-clamp. But, I was afraid it would fall off, I'd lose coolant, and then overheat.

When I was trying to get the balancer off. I did make turn accidentally. Did I mess the timing up?

Here is the cover off.
