Default 02 dakota dash lights go out

hellow please help my dash lights go out when high beams are turned on. the dash lights are on and work when turned on and normal lowbeam headlights are on, but when i turn my highs on the whole dash cluster and the cluster for my ac ***** turn off. I looked at all my fuses they are fine. happened about 2 months before i replaced my headlights and added a light bar they were not a cause of this problem please help me out i already called a "certified dodge mechchanic" but they all said they had never heard of anything like this happening.

Well if it started after you installed the lights you wired something wrong.

How did you add the light bars - where did you get power for them? Did you use a relay to drive them or just tap off the headlight feed.

Wiring harness came with a relay and fuse in line with the circuit the dash lights only cut out when I turn my high beams on and all of this happened before I added the bar and the new lights about 2 months before
