00DakDan, thats for the most part what I figured. I don't know for sure that I have to replace it, but I have excessive vibration and I'm in need of a tranny rebuild so I figured if its a couple hundred bucks more to throw in a new one then I might as well. We will see when I pull it out next week! I still find it very odd that the clutch and flywheel are "different" because the 2001 has the same tranny and engine does it not? so I can't see logically why a 2001 clutch kit and flywheel wouldn't work.. Are the input shafts splines not the same?

Yes I know I must pull everything out I'm more or less just working these questions through out -loud.

 

It's very rare to have to replace a flywheel - very.

I don't think the spline counts varied.

 

can not find a a Flywheel for my 2000 Dodge Dakota sport 4.7 manual. Trying to cross reference with a Durango same year and engine or any dodge truck

 

They are out there.

 

Those are all 3.9/5.9, I don't see anything for 4.7

LUK is a good brand. Looks like the box store can get the LFW405.

 

This is freaking me out just a Truck guess I pull one.

 

See my reply above. Rockauto shows the LUK LFW405 being for the 4.7, looks like all the box store can get it.

 

Been searching a week all over internet and parts stores, guess the junk yard is next. What so you think about fabricated replacement ?
