Default Need to replace the engine on my 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7 L 4x4 Auto on a super tight bu

Suggestions? What other engines will fit a 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7l 4x4 auto Crew Cab? I'm desperate. The 5th cylinder is bad. It won't pass DEQ and my tags expire on the 15th. I have a mechanic and was going to check out the junk yards. Just need to know what to ask for. Any help you can give and or knowledge you will share is vet much appreciated!

Remember about tone rings. You want a JTEC motor, 3 connector. That's 2000-2003 (usually). If you go later you'll have to swap tone rings.
