1997 dodge dakota clicking noise on glove box

Default 1997 dodge dakota clicking noise on glove box

I have a 1997 dodge dakota v8 last night i got home don't remember leaving any types of lights on and this morning I tired starting my truck nothing....opened hood cleaned terminals came back in the cab and I'm heading a clicking noise....had a friend come over and jump it had to feather the gas for a couple minutes but check engine light came on for the first time rode around a bit got home turned the truck off tried to turn it on nothing. Any suggestions???

sounds like the battery failed internally overnight. not surprising. Being a 97 i'm not sure what would be clicking. I know on mine, i can here some of the HVAC actuators energizing after a reset, but 97 is all vacuum operated.

I tired jumping it I had to feather the gas battery gague was up engine was warm I shut it off then tried turning it right back on and nothing

Check/clean the batter connections. Have the battery tested...... Most parts stores will do it for free.

I did yesterday and battery is new just messed with it moved terminal around battery started charging had to put in the key and turn to on position for ten seconds and repeated five times guess It reset the computer n she fired right up maybe a new terminal connection

Isn't there a power junction on these that likes to corrode, and cause some issues??

The clicking in the glove box is likely for the blower motor.

Dakota's hate a low battery and often run poorly if at all.
