sensor was $115 at dealer. Can't get to it from below. Two 1/2" bolts behind passenger cylinder head, connector is behind the distributor.

Yours is an automatic, right? The manual ones are different and a PITA to find, I don't think the dealers even stock them. 3.9/5.2/5.9 auto all use same sensor. I think 3.9/5.2 manual are both the same but not 100% sure on that.

3.9 ,6 cyl,automatic.
I'll get a injector while I'm there..can a cam sensor effect this ?

A bad cam sensor would be giving a bunch of random misfires, not one specific cylinder or a bank. Grabbing an injector or 2 wouldn't hurt, but make sure they are the came color and connector as yours - they switched from EV1 to EV2 at some point.

What is Ev1/2?
What is odd is it's running like nothing's wrong ,plenty of power an no misfires..

They changed the design of the connectors for the injectors at some point. The EV2 are the newer style.

This is why I am leaning to crank position sensor. The PCM is firing the coil and injectors at the right times, but is registering a double hole as a single hole. This throws off it's internal clock keeper.
