Default blower motor only blows on high.

2004 Dakota will only blow on high speed. it used to work on medium, but now only on high. would like to know if replacing the climate control will fix problem or if its the blower motor that needs to be replaced

If the blower motor seems to be running strong, it likely isn't the blower motor. Only working on certain settings sounds like the blower switch is either dirty or degrading so it isn't getting good contact. You can try rapidly turning it to try to clean the contacts, but I would suggest replacing the blower controls.

Blower resistor OR the connector to it. It's a common issue, the connector overheats and takes out the resistor.

Ya.. The connector is the culprit.. If you don't cut back the wire and put on a new connector, the new resistor will burn up in a short period of time.. What I like to do is... solder on heavy gauge wire to the resister terminals with spade connectors on the end of about one inch wire extensions.. The new connector is less likely to over heat if you can get it away from the resistor..
