that's weird I didn't look at the date but it was on the first page of posts. Possibly it was tacked on the end of another thread I just didn't notice this forum does do that.
I still like to check in on and off but having 7 heart conditions is making working on my Dakota Difficult for me these days.

I know what you mean.
CABG x3, plus Lymphedema in the legs, peripheral nerve damage, and Plantar fasciitis, difficulty getting up from a supine position w/o assistance, difficulty breathing in hot humid S.E. Texas air. Age 80 and Living alone.......
I just replaced the drivers side head, due to a frozen and then broken off #1 and #3 sparkplug.
5 weeks to do the job
Drove it for 60 miles, without issues, and now suddenly have gremlins!
Gremlin #1 Bypass tube rusted thru at waterpump, .....replaced
Gremlin #2 coolant sensor crumbled to dust when replacing harness.....replaced
Gremlin #3 IAC valve, dirty....... replaced
Gremlin #4 oil pressure gauge intermittant, sender bad..... ordered online
Gremlin #5 corroded filler cap seat, won't hold pressure........ordered online
Gremlin #6 sudden rough running?? and stalling ?? ......work in progress.
Temps now nearing 100 degrees f., Humidity 90%,
and I can't go outside for longer than a minute or two.
So I work a half hour, in the early AM, just after the dawn,
when the temps are only in the mid 70's, and the skeeters
are still sleeping, till the sunup.
You're not alone. So, "KEEP ON TRUCKIN!"

glad your still doing it at 80.
Ive always had a lower than normal heart rate normal for me is 45 to 47 but now I must take a medication that lowers it even more causing me problems because the medication controls my heart without it my heart goes crazy at times. It causes me big problems in my sleep my heart rate can drop too low. But the dangerous problem is my aortic aneurysm its at the danger zone so I cant do any rigorous exercises or heavy lifting if it ruptures I go in seconds its like cutting a main artery you bleed out In seconds.
Im only 67 Im still working on my Dakota I just need to take it slow and easy till my two operations.

I feel for you 98DAKAZ!
It's a real bummer when the mind is fine,
but the body is no longer willing to keep up!
I've been in this condition, for 24 years now, and I'm determined to make it for another 25! The goal being, to at least become a Centenial!
I'm currently on 10 different meds/day, and my cardiologist told me
"Just keep on doing what you're doing. Because you're doing OK."
My first night in the hospital, (in 2001) Doc's didn't think I was going to make it thru the night. The following AM they told me, and I replied that he didn't know who he was dealing with! Now 24 years, and a failed stent later, I'm still kicking!
It's following Doc's recommendations, and a great deal of will power!
Keep hanging in there, and I'll invite you to my 90th birthday Party!!
