it will restart but not with a 30 amp fuse it will pop it right away, if i put a 40 amp fuse it will fire right up and i can even drive it if i wanted to not to smart to do a lot of people say their pcm gets really hot. the 20 minutes mine stays running its not hot at all i can put my hand on the pcm and its cool to the touch. the fuel pump is getting really loud though it sounds like its sick or dying.

well i stand corrected today is the 16th 12;12pm cst now, ever since it popped yesterday as soon as i turn it over it pops the fuse, even pops the 40 amp fuse as soon as you turn it over so what it is its gotten worse. the first time it happened popped when hot was able to start and drive it just drove it to park it that's all with a 40 amp fuse but everyday since the 12th its been getting worse and worse now it blows the fuse instantly.

Well, buy a big supply of 30 amp fuses... start unplugging stuff between testing. See what you have to unplug to make it stop doing that....

i already did that just a few minutes ago it was it was the first thing i unplugged. the computer that stopped it, i tried it a few times to be sure, plugged the computer back in and hit the key and pop went the fuse. so i think i got my answer right off the bat the computer is causing it.

If you unplug the computer, the relay never gets tripped. Therefore, it won't blow the fuse. The fuse is for the stuff the relay powers, not the relay itself.

i think this truck is possessed by something like way back when i first started having problems it was only that it took a few seconds longer to start when it was hot, then it was on Sunday the 12th that was the first time it shut off and popped the asd fuse, that's when i stuck the 40 amp fuse in it just so i could start it and move it because it would just pop the 30 amp right away well after that the only time it wouldn't pop a fuse is after it sat overnight. then it would start up without popping the fuse but when it would reach normal operating temp. pop there went the fuse yesterday was the first time i was standing outside the truck by the fuel tank and that's when i noticed the longer the truck ran the louder the fuel pump got until it popped the fuse and shut off well today which is the 16th this is the first time i couldn't even start before the fuse popped well i did what HeyYou suggested on here start unplugging stuff between testing, so i pulled the fuel pump fuse and relay well it didn't pop a fuse when i turned the key on so it cranked it and it started until the fuel rail ran dry, still no popped asd fuse so i just put the relay back in tried it again it cranked over and didn't pop the asd fuse so i put the fuel pump fuse back in guess what the truck started didn't blow the asd fuse, but i know once the truck heats up it will blow because the fuel pump started to get loud again so i shut it off i went out 2 hours later to see if it would pop by turning the key sure enough it popped again i cannot keep buying 5 dollar 30 amp fuses like their going out of style. so i have no idea i hate electrical crap

if the fuel pump is getting loud that means it's drawing too many amps. Direct correlation, change the fuel pump.

that's the only thing i can think of because the longer it runs the louder the pump gets. when you first start it makes the noise a fuel pump should make but it gets louder and louder as the truck reaches normal operating then it would pop. so im going to replace the pump and see what happens.

well heres an update on my truck thought it was the fuel pump so i put one thats not what it was. i had to walk away from it for a while because i was about to loose my mind. heres what we ended up doing my friend and i made a 30 amp breaker instead of popping 5 dollar 30 amp fuses all the time works like a charm, well same thing keeps happening reaches certain temp pop goes the breaker well before that happened we unhooked every thing that has to do with the asd fuse, then one at a time we began to plug stuff in one at a time and tried it nothing popped, the truck started up and ran but same thing gets hot pop goes the breaker so one thing at a time we started unplugging stuff and it kept popping. the only thing left plugged in that has anything to do with the asd fuse was the ignition and the computer it still kept popping so my friend who makes a living as a computer programmer said lets try the old hard drive trick take the computer out and put it in the fridge for a hour so i did that after taking it out and plugging it back in truck fired up faster then it ever did while all this nightmare is going on, warmed up and it popped again so tried the fridge trick again fired up again it never fired up this fast before while all this is going on but it keeps popping then the starter went out from us turning it over a million times. i have no idea what to do any more cant find any burnt or corroded wires.
