How long would it have to sit after the fuse popped before it would start again, if you just left it sit?

thats kinda weird at first it was like 12 to 15 hours then it would start up without poping the fuse within the last week and a half it would pop it right away as soon as you would turn the key to the on position if you undo the battery and leave it sit for like 3 or 4 hours sometimes it would start without popping the fuse but it always starts if you undo the battery and unplug the computer and leave it sit overnight.like two and a half weeks ago it was running pretty good it only really started acting up bad after i did the lower ball joints, the ball joint on the passenger side did not want to budge so i had to help it out with a 5 pound sludge on the lower control arm i was like i hope i didnt like break something electrical by pounding the hell out of the control arm thats the same side the computer is on, but a day after that is when it really started acting up with the electrical problems go figure ????? i have way to much money into this thing just to give up on it now. i had to take a break from it though i really thought i was starting to lose it so for the last week ive been working on my 79 magnum oh god what a joy to work on that, im in a happy place when im working on that car. but i need to get that truck going before winter.

Sounds like some bad solder joints in the PCM then.

Got a heat gun, or hair dryer? Try getting the PCM toasty warm BEFORE you try and start the truck. If it immediately pops the fuse, you found your problem.

well after putting 1800 dollars into a 1500 dollar truck im pretty sure i finally found out what is wrong with this demon truck and this after putting a fuel pump in it and a new pcm which was not the problem, the truck would not start at all, take it this problem started in late July with just a hot start problem and then everyday it started getting worse read everything above. i decided to give this thing one more try after i bought what i know a 2001 jeep. i opened up the harness from the middle of the truck going closer to the pcm. all the ground wires for the injectors the coils the o2 sensors the fuel pump have a green wire with a orange tracer. well pretty close to the computer 4 of the ground wires join together they must be soldered together then it runs into one wire that goes to the pcm i started messing around with the wires that all join together the 4 green ones i had my friend turn the key low and behold the thing started granted since july this thing has never ran longer then 20 minutes reaching normal operating temp without popping the asd fuse. plus it popped the asd fuse if you put in gear well yesterday it took a little bit longer to reach operating temp because its starting to get cold in wisconsin, but it reach 210 which is normal operating temp it didn't pop the asd fuse i ran it a total of 3 hours yesterday never popped the asd fuse i put it in gear like a 100 times no popped fuse i was like come on!!!! it couldnt that easy as opening the harness moving the wires around this is the longest its ran since late july sorry for such a long story but i think it might be over god i hope so so i can sell this darn thing after i put way to much money into it.
