When I look up both numbers I get Durango and jeep 4.7 applications. So I’d assume they’re the same. Maybe it’s just an earlier model. But I don’t want to give you bad information

The 45RFE automatic transmission has identification numbers stamped above the oil pan gasket surface, and a bar code label containing additional information that may be useful

Inspect for the transmission build date (Julian date) (Fig. 1). The transmission build date can be determined by inspection of the 20 digit transmission identification number (DDDYxxxxxPpartnumber). The transmission identification number is stamped on the left side (driver side) of the transmission oil pan flange. The first four (4) digits of the transmission identification number are the transmission build date, in Julian date format. An example of a transmission identification number would be 101510492P52119684AA. The first three digits ( 101 ) of the identification number equal the day of the year, in this case 101 equals April 11. The fourth digit ( 5 ) of the identification number equals the calendar year, in this case 5 equals 2005. So 1015 equals April 11, 2005.

Well the guts including the electonic control looks identical just the tag is different per the sticky thread the 45 and 545 are the same as well as gearing so in theroy they should all be innerchangeable thats all i really care about at this point that i can swap it with hurting anything otherwise i have to rebuild. Just trying to get it drivable over and out of 2nd gear lol and this one just saying RFE confused me a bit

Tried the output speed sensor i can say thisnmuch when you put in first manually out of 2nd or d it drops to 1st again so thats more progress. Letting the system reset without battery the scanner i have even in N wont clear it so will test tomorrow.

Im about sure its the clutches or bands shavings and sludge on the sensor i pulled

.pretty sure the 3rd and 4th gears are just toast

Mine had a fine powder on it when I pulled mine out to replace it. But it changed nothing so I got my money back. I’ll be rebuilding mine as I don’t have 2000 to drop on a trans shop to rebuild and I can’t be bothered to deal with a used one with little to no warranty.
