Default 2003 dakota 3.9 cat y pipe options

Hello I recently purchased a 2003 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9L w/ reg cab & 112" wheel base, 2wd/RWD, SLT. It needs entire exhaust from manifolds back. I prefer a direct fit. The only part of the exhaust left is the 2 cats bolted to the manifolds. The rest is cut off behind it.In my search for the right setup I saw some Doorman 2 cat y pipes (with no 3rd) listed as 3.9L /5.9L for dodge dakota's but have no idea as to fitment I also saw some listed that said 3.9 4.7 5.9 from same company. Im also wondering if you can use the 4wd pipe with the RWD? Is there a difference? is it just a parts listing thing? same with the 5.9 question? But can only find these references from ebay sellers. If anyone has any knowledge on if those parts are cross compatible? I didnt want to just jump into a magnaflow cat setup as cost is a factor. Id like to not go with a 3 cat system unless i have to since its already set up with the 2 cats and has no CEL's.

I appreciate any help, advice and recommendations available. Thank you in advance.

Look up the parts on a dodge/mopar website that has pics to look at, so you get an idea of what it's supposed to look like..... Compare part numbers from the various engine/driveline configurations, and see what you come up with.

thats what ive been doing.... one website will list it as one thing and others as another. is no reference outside someone with first hand experience it seems or taking the gamble. Im assuming they probably all work on some level. Just is how many $300-$900 gambles do i want to take is the thought. Also most places that list these parts specifically state the photos are not actual pictures of the product. Just a reference photo. So cant say that would be an accurate judge to determine it one way or another.

Call the local dealer parts department, have your VIN handy, they should be able to at least get you correct part numbers...
