I can see that you are old school. I haven't seen chlorinated brake cleaner, or carb cleaner, in years. Used to make a good wasp killer.... then, in the late 90's, the EPA got ahold of 'em, and the chlorine went away. I discovered that by spraying a wasp nest, and all it did was annoy them.... (bad plan.....)

It may depend on the state you're in. Brakleen around here comes in red and green cans. Red is the chlorinated and green is non-chlorinated. I saw some the other day on the shelf. The green is the same price and just a little less in the can. I still kills wasps with starting fluid or WD-40. Starting fluid will knock them out of the air.

Brake Clean? We just use straight mineral spirits, lol. Atwoods does have a red-branded can of brake kleen that is cheap and works handy too

Brakleen is made by CRC if I remember correctly. I've used it for years. I use non-chlorinated when possible. Acetone will work, it's just easier to spray and wipe.

Gently tap the lines with a wrench as you do this to get any air pockets to moved forward and out of the system.

I use a brass machinists hammer. I used to have a brass tack hammer but it got "borrowed". the brass won't damage a good line. If it does damage it, the line needed replacing anyway.

Oh I know. We used to go through a case of CRC a week, plus our 45 gallon parts cleaner full of mineral spirits. But Atwoods came in last year, and they carry CRC for $1 less per can than O'Reillys, and also have their own label that's another $1 cheaper per can than CRC. So now we get a dozen cans of that every week.
