Default 1998 Dakota 5.2l starts then stalls within seconds

Hello friends I have a 1998 Dakota 5.2l magnum that i have had stored for about 10 years. About 6 months ago I put a fuel pump in it , cleaned the fuel tank, fuel line and put a battery in it fired right up. I let it sit again for a couple months and now it wont run. It has just over 100k miles on it. I have never had a problem till now with it. When I start it up , it fires up does its first rev and then just dies. Maybe 2 seconds then stalls. I have changed the fuel pump again, cleaned the lines, new iac, tps, map, crank sensor, tested key switch. If i spray gas in the throttle body after it starts it will stay running till i stop. When it stalls i hear the fuel pump run. It seems like the injectors dont open. I have over 50lbs at the fuel rail. I am at a loss. any help would be appreciated also no codes have come up yet

Will it stay running if you give it a bit of gas?

Default 1998 dakota 5.2 starts then stalls

No it will stall as soon as I push the pedal but i can pour gas in it and it will stay running. Later today I am going to test for injector pulse. I put a hose on the rail while starting it and the pumps is doing good. Over 50 lbs of pressure. Do you know what tells the pcm to open the injectors? Thank you for any ideas

PCM calculates how long to open the injects using TPS, coolant temp, engine rpm, engine load, and a few other factors.

is there any kind of alarm system on your truck??

there was an alarm when I first got the truck. I got the truck in 2005 from a fireman that only drove it 22000 miles. The alarm worked but after a couple years had a problem with the horn. I just pulled the security fuse and unhooked the horn and no more problem. The locks still worked from the remote switch till the little batteries went dead. Just started using the key after that. Should I try to remove the alarm, or hook it back up and get batteries for a remote.

Either way wouldn't hurt. Can you get a wiring diagram for the alarm??

Thumbs up 5.2 L cranks only runs on starting fluid

Another new kid on the block, i just inherited a 1999 Dakota Sport, I'm going to try and follow this thread, the following is my story to start - I had put together this history before i found this thread, it may just work for me. will return

1999 Dodge Dakota Sport 5.2 l engine, (VIN 1B7GL22Y1X5304022) (Mechanic walked out on me). replaced PCM with Plug and Play from After Market (Flagship 1), installed new distributor with new Cam Sensor, have replaced Crank Sensor with one from Pick a part, (Salvage Yard). Have looked at forum suggested splice connection, didn't find any problem with splice at junction near injector 5, exchanged relays from fuel pump and shut down relay. I don't have Dodge Scanner. Starts momentarily with starting fluid, wont stay running. Seems to be fuel problem, how do I check injector timing? is the CTM communicating properly? No adjustment on Cam or Crank Sensors, How do I check them for proper operation?
